Ideas around an embedded keyboard firmware to run Pinchord on any compatible board, whether it can support Javelin or not.
I'm honestly not sure the scale of an embedded Pinchord firmware, but this would be something I'd be looking at around Pinchord's release.
Could be through qmk/zmk extension, or completely custom, but the goals would be:
- Small enough to fit on really any board
- Be able to fully customize Pinchord without having to re-flash
- Support a reasonably large brief dictionary
Not sure whether these things are actually possible :p
I think it'd be pretty cool to stick python on the board, use that to translate strokes, and let you edit that file without reflashing. Having a standard dictionary format for Pinchord being the python dict + your user dict would be pretty nice.
Other ideas:
- Make mods hold so you can hold control and stuff like that :)
