Symptom

Pages with URLs like repo.git/test.txt are assumed to be text files rather than being rendered as HTML.

Problem

Pages are being adorned with headers based on their filename by the ring.middleware.content-type/wrap-content-type, when test.txt is a perfectly valid HTML file name.

Solution

Remove the problem middleware.
