My progress designing and learning Pinchord, whenever I update it :p

But today (the 9th), I started up 30 minutes of practice a day :)

Getting ~40wpm on e1k 50 word monkeytype tests

Hey I never update this thing :p

But pinchord-1 v28 has released with a mods dict and all that goodness, so Pinchord is actually usable full time now :p

I've been trying to sneak as much practice in, like writing this here :p

Still a lot to learn so I think I will just work on building up my speed and comfort before trying to switch full time.

• Have been working on some stuff (v25 will release soon hopefully :p)
• Got 37wpm on an e200 words 50 which is pretty nice :)
• Haven't been doing much practice though D:

• I was locked tf in for a while but now I'm mostly just bored :p
• Did a test, released v24, started working on the Plover plugin, but not much practice again!

• More good changes
• Kinda spent all day working on the website and v22 so it's almost 7 and I just started practicing!
• It's quite late but I've got 8 more minutes :p
• That was awful lol but another 30 minutes down :)

• Feeling more consistent
• Released v20 and v21 I'm noticing a pattern here :p
• I've added too many briefs for e200 to mean anything anymore lol, I'm going to monkeytype e1000
• Got 19wpm lol.
• Still would like to finish out the 30m, I've yet to actually do that! Not sure how much it matters, but this seems sustainable so I don't feel too bad about it lol.
• Well I hate monkeytype tests but I got 30m in elsewhere :D

• Practiced for 16m :)
• Released v16 and v17

January 10, 2026

• Released up to v16.1 :p
• Bunch of changes
• Practiced for 17m
• Getting around the 20-25wpm range on monkeytype e200 60s tests

January 9, 2026

• It is starboard compatible again lol. Actually compatible with all steno boards, except maybe the tinymod.
• Right now before being ready for initial use I have a few more final chords to place, and I have to figure out suffixes.
• If it's possible to make suffixes not require orthography rules I think that's what I'd like to do...
• Released v12 which I think should be ready for early use for anyone who'd like to try it (and has a Javelin-compatible steno board :p)

December 15, 2025 - Day 30 of tracking:

• Damn shit
• Still designing, will have to make a board for this since it is no longer starboard compatible

December 5, 2025 - Day 20 of tracking:

• Haven't been practicing nooo
• I'd like to but practice is so boring

November 20, 2025 - Day 5 of tracking:

• I think Pinchord is honestly quite close to being done, or being presentable anyway. It's probably just the last 20% of things like ortho suffixes and a few rogue chords that.
• Did a good amount of practice even though my monkeytype tests never save lol
